“If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more, and become more, you are a leader.”
JOHN QUINCY ADAMS
PHILLIPS ANDOVER CLUSTER OLYMPICS
Founder & Event Organizer
Phillips Academy Andover
In 2024, I created Cluster Olympics – the first-ever student dorm orientation program – culminating in a night of competition and unity that kicks off each new school year. The Olympics features team-bonding events for more than 1,200 students and faculty over multiple days, fostering connections within small dorm-based communities and school-wide.
Through coordination with student and faculty leaders, I delegate leadership roles, plan meals and games, secure technology resources, and coordinate team gear. The 2024 games inspired the launch of a Winter Olympics edition and an improved 2025 event, which was lauded as a success. The Olympics are well under way to becoming a beloved Phillips Academy annual tradition.
Community Leader & Event Organizer, Abbot & Andover at 50 YEARS
I co-led the planning of a career-themed faculty and alumni brunch celebrating the 50th anniversary of the 1973 merger between Abbot, the all-girls school, with Phillips Academy Andover, the all-boys school.
As part of the event, I moderated a panel with Abbot Academy alumnae on their educational experiences and careers. I also presented original research on how the school’s history and female-centered traditions can inform a stronger, more inclusive, co-educational culture today.
Phillips Academy Tour Guide Ambassador
As a school ambassador, I was chosen to lead large groups of prospective students and families in weekly Phillips Academy tours, which I have been giving for four years. I research attendees' backgrounds and personalize my campus tours and presentations to engage their interests and provide tailored information about the campus and culture.
Phillips Academy Student Leader:
Dorm Prefect
As an 11th grader, I was selected to co-prefect my dorm, supporting 16 younger students as they adjust to rigorous boarding school life and navigate challenges. I also serve as an EBI (Equity Balance and Inclusion) Upper, helping guide 9th graders in classes that foster community values. Both roles include ongoing leadership training.
Camp Lohikan
Counselor Program
Over nine summers as a camper and staff member at Camp Lohkan in upstate Pennsylvania, I built strong skills in collaboration, communication, and leadership.
As a counselor and activity supervisor, I led outdoor adventure and soccer programs, managed safety for rock climbing, zip-lining, and high ropes, and guided campers of all ages. I was also chosen to lead an all-camp team of 130+ in an Olympics-style competition, a role reserved for leaders who excel at keeping
energy and morale high.
